The two storey hotel is on the beautiful Anastacia Island on the wrong side of the road, but a minutes walk from, the stunning beach with several cosy little beachfront bars and cafes along the shore. While there are lots of beach front homes the island has a less developed more laid back feel to it than other areas such as Cocoa Beach or Treasure Island. Our first trip to St Augustine and decided to stay by the ocean. We trusted the good comments from previous reviewers and we were happy to stay there.
Hotel was clean and comfortable, the staff was very helpful and considerate and we had a great time. A two minute walk to beautiful beaches with good local restaurants close by.
We would certainly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a low price alternative to the big hotels or B&Bs dow...more
We stayed at this hotel based on the great reviews I found on this site and we were VERY pleased!
The hotel is located right across the street from the beach and there are some good restaurants within walking distance as well as a beach shop.
The hotel itself is clean and the grounds are nicely kept. Great pool area and a hot tub.

We found the front desk staff to be friendly and helpful. The rooms were clean and well-appointed and the appearance of the facility is very nice. We would stay definitely stay there again....more
The hotel itself appeared clean, wonderfully landscaped (probably the prettiest on the strip), and very close to the beach (walk across the street for easy beach access). The pool and hot tub were somewhat small but were clean, and the pool area was very nice. The hotel is A+ for a Best Western. Very clean, very safe, very comfortable. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Free breakfast is good with lots of choices and is from 6-10am (longer than most). Pool and hot tub are also very nice. It's only about a block from the beach - which is also beautiful! You do have to cross A1A but even during busy traffic, people would always stop and let you cross. Will be back!...more
